JSON formatting, validation and conversion answer different questions. Work on a copy and use a small representative sample first. Syntax validation can tell you whether the document parses; it cannot confirm that an API accepts the field names or the values.
Check the syntax
Paste JSON and resolve syntax errors before changing its representation. Check for trailing commas, missing double quotes and incorrectly escaped characters. A valid document can still fail an API schema or business rule.
Inspect the structure
Use indentation to check the nesting of objects and arrays. Compare values such as false, null, zero and empty strings carefully: they are not interchangeable. Keep a source copy when field order or large integer precision matters.
Choose compact JSON for transport
Remove formatting whitespace when the destination accepts JSON. Minification is not compression, encryption or anonymization. Test the actual payload against the receiving system before sending production data.
Alternative: choose CSV for a simple table
Choose this branch instead of compact JSON when the destination needs a spreadsheet. Use an array of flat objects when you want spreadsheet columns. For example, [{"item":"Pen","qty":2},{"item":"Book","qty":1}] has two rows and two fields. Nested objects and arrays may need restructuring. Inspect the downloaded CSV before importing it.
Before you finish
Check row counts, Unicode text, numeric precision and empty values. Never assume spreadsheet conversion will preserve nested JSON types or the semantics of formulas in a spreadsheet application.
Privacy and handoff between steps
Download each result, inspect it, then select that file in the next tool. ToolVero does not automatically transfer your file between these pages. Public libraries and advertising can make separate network requests; the selected-file processing workflow is explained in the Privacy Center.
