About Crop PDF
Crop PDF trims the visible area of PDF pages. Margin sliders shade the area that will be removed in a live preview, and the same percentages are applied to every selected page using standard PDF crop boxes, so text, links and forms inside the kept area stay fully live.
When is Crop PDF useful?
Removing scanner borders, evening out margins for printing or reading, and cutting letterboxed slides or screenshots down to their content.
- Use it when you need a quick result without installing desktop software.
- Review the output when the result will be submitted, published, printed or used for an important decision.
How to use Crop PDF
- Choose a PDF, drag the four margin sliders until the shaded area covers what should go, pick all pages or a page range, then choose Crop & Download.
Practical tips for Crop PDF
Work in small steps: a 5–8% trim usually removes scanner edges without touching content. Mixed-size documents are handled per page, because each margin is a percentage of that page.
- Keep the original input when the operation changes or converts it.
Things to know before you start
Cropping sets the page crop box — the area viewers display and printers print. Content outside the box is hidden rather than deleted, and a tool that ignores crop boxes can still show it. To permanently remove sensitive content, use Redact PDF instead.
Privacy and file handling
ToolVero is built around browser-based utilities where the individual tool supports local processing. When a tool loads a public JavaScript library, that library is used to perform the operation in the page. Do not enter passwords, private keys or other highly sensitive information into any tool unless you understand the processing involved.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping delete the content outside the crop area?
No. Cropping changes the visible page area (the crop box); the underlying content is hidden, not erased. That makes cropping safe for margins and layout, but it is not redaction — use Redact PDF for sensitive content.
Can I crop only some pages?
Yes. Choose "Page range" and enter pages like 1,3-5. The default applies the same margins to all pages.
Is Crop PDF free?
Yes. ToolVero provides this utility without requiring a subscription for routine use.
